479,609. Supply and delivery arrangements for hot-water boilers. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., HARVEY, R., and PEARSON, E. J. B. Aug. 25, 1936, No. 23327. [Class 64 (i)] In an inlet valve for a liquid heater comprising a tank closed at the top except for an air vent, the body of the valve incorporates a draining arrangement for the tank permitting draining without disconnecting the valve from the cold water inlet pipe or from the tank and comprising a pressure-operated one-way valve 4. Water entering by pipes 1, 2 passes an adjustable screwed throttle plug 6 and a spring-pressed ball valve 4 through the pipe 7 to the tank. After removing the plug 5 and throttle 6, the ball may be lifted to drain the tank.
