361,776. Mercury-vapour rectifiers. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, ET CIE, Baden, Switzerland. March 20, 1931, No. 8599. Convention date, March 26, 1930. [Class 39 (i).] A removable anode bushing comprises pressure - applying means, such as a flexible tube e, for sealing the joint between the anode a and the edge l of the bushing insulator and also for sealing the dead vacuum space k which exists between the anode stem h and the insulator. As shown, the tube e encloses the dead space k and is welded to a member d, screwed on the anode stem, and to a ring f which rests with interposed packing g on the insulator. A spring m is provided between the ring f and a nut i which is screwed on the member d and is used to adjust the sealing pressure.
