361,245. Ventilating vehicles. PUNCH, J. S. C., 14, Cloverdale Avenue, Toorak, and LEWIN, W. J., 422, Collins Street, Melbourne, both in Victoria, Australia. March 30, 1931, No. 9663. Convention date, Aug. 27, 1930. [Class 137.] A ventilating system for saloon cars or other closed-in vehicles of the kind having a double roof for the circulation of a ventilating air current comprises a permanently open air outlet at the rear end of the double roof 3 and one or more permanently open air communication paths between the interior of the car body and the said double roof, one of said air communication paths 6 being situated at the front of the car to effect the exhaustion of fumes. As shown, the outlet at the rear of the double roof is formed about the framework of the rear window 5 and an additional communication between the interior of the vehicle and the double roof is provided at the highest point 7 of the roof. A roof ventilator 8 may be provided for use when the vehicle is at rest.
