Abstract
472,965. Ventilating vehicles. HEDIN, J. March 30, 1936, No. 9441. [Classes 20 (iii) and 137] Motor vehicles with closed bodies are ventilated by an air inlet 2 at or near the lower edge of the windscreen 1, associated with a baffle 4 which directs the entering air upwardly over the inner surface of the windscreen. The baffle may be corrugated, Fig. 3, or may be combined with an additional baffle 5, Fig. 4, to facilitate mixing of the incoming air with the air in the body. The forward baffle 4 may be perforated. If the windscreen 1 is fixed, as in Fig. 6, a regulable flap 9 may be provided, so that air entering the body through the conduit 10 is directed against the baffle 4.
