Abstract

214,794. Smith, S., and A. C. Cars, Ltd. March 13, 1923. Ventilating vehicles. - A removable or detachable ventilator 1 is fitted on the scuttle dash above the filler cap 4 of a fuel or other tank 15. A channel-shaped shoot 18 is provided on one end of the tank and' a second ventilator is mounted on the dash above the open end of the shoot. The ventilator may have an adjustable opening and it may be hinged, or removable and held in place by spring pins. The filler cap is provided with a stem and handle which extend into the lower part of the ventilator.
