Abstract
489,085. Ventilators for vehicles. LABILLIERE, F. C. D. DE, and MACLAVERTY, E. J. V. Dec. 13, 1937, No. 34437. [Class 137] Air is extracted from road or railway vehicles, or from aircraft, by a tapering flat funnel 25 the mouth 26 of which extends across substantially the whole width of the vehicle, and, when the latter is in motion, catches the air and delivers it through a narrowed portion 25<1>, and past a bent tube 28 which communicates with an aperture 4 through which air is extracted from the interior. In a modification, Fig. 4, the funnel housing is sunk into the roof, side, or floor of the vehicle.
