Abstract

327,502. Miduno, T. Feb. 4, 1929, Ventilators; ventilating vehicles.-Air is supplied to or exhausted from the interior of a railway carriage, electric car, ship or other vehicle by an exterior ventiduct comprising two funnelshaped ducts i, i<1> at the narrower meeting ends of which is a removable baffle d at right angles to the body. The air stream passes through a ventilating shutter c, c<1> having vertical grids inclined to each other, through a soot, dust or filter e, and through a pipe f and latticed shutters g communicating with the interior of the vehicle. When the baffle d is removed the air is exhausted, and when in position air is forced into the vehicle. Soot, dust, rain, &c. passes through the tube k and out through opening h.
