Abstract

Oct. 22, 1930, No. 31663, [Class 108 (i).] In motor vehicles having closed bodies the roof is adapted to be raised to increase ventilation. As shown the roof a is carried and raised by means of lifting screws c and the space between the raised roof and the body b is bridged by some sieve-like material d which may be flexible or of rigid formation in which case it is secured to either the body or the roof and adapted to slide in a groove formed in the other part. The joint between the roof and body is preferably rabbeted as at f, Fig. 4. The roof may be raised bodily or at one end or side.
