Bodies; steps.-In motor vehicles of the kind in which each running board is so constructed of metal that it can be bent upwards to form the valance, the valance c is continued upwards to form one side d' of the body and also the side e<1> of the bonnet which is arranged so as to be incapable of being opened. The valances are attached to the chassis and may be stayed to each other. In a modification, the body and bonnet members are made as one unit and the running board and valance as a separate unit, both units being attached to the chassis members.
