Abstract

Regenerated celluloses, dyeing.-Regenerated cellulose material e.g. viscose rayon is dyed with the dyestuffs obtained by tetrazotizing an aromatic diamine of the formula NH2(p)-Ar,X,Ar-NH2(p) where Ar = a phenylene nucleus devoid of acidic functions and X = O, SO2, CO or CH2 and coupling with M acid (1 : 5 : 7-aminonaphthol sulphonic acid) (2 mols.) in alkaline solution or with M acid (1 mol.) in alkaline solution or one molecular proportion of another coupling component not being an aminonaphtholsulphonic acid. In examples the following are specified. (1) 4 : 41-diaminobenzophenone \sQ M acid (2 mols.) (level brown), (2) M acid \sM 4 : 41 - diaminodiphenylmethane --> 2-naphthylamine-6-sulphonic acid (brown); using 1-41-sulphophenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone, as second coupling component a yellowish-brown results, (3) M acid \sM 4 : 41-diaminodiphenylsulphone --> 1-41-sulphophenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone (brown), (4)M acid \sM 4 : 41-diaminodiphenylether --> N.W acid (brownish-red).
