8569. Levinstein, H., B,addiley, J., and Levinstein, Ltd. April 4. Substantive-dye processes.-Fast orange, red, and scarlet shades are obtained by dyeing cotton with the disazo dyes prepared by combining tetrazotized m-azoxyaniline, p-diaminophenylaziminobenzene, p-diaminodiphenyl' ether, or a homologue or substitution product thereof, with one molecule of an acidyl-#-aminonaphthol sulphonic acid and one molecule of resorcin or a homologue or substitution product thereof, and aftertreating the dyed fibre with formaldehyde. The Provisional Specification is not limited to the above-specified diamines and mentions also m-aminobenzoyl-p-phenylenediamine as suitable. Specifications 12,118/98, 12,679/98, 3615/00, and 12,899/00, [both in Class 2, Acids and salts, Organic, &c.], 13,778/02, and 6814/07 are referred to.
