[Class 39 (iii).] The heating element o is arranged around the outlet tube e the inlet end of which is closed by a rubber disc i gripped between the top of the casing a and a cap h held in position by a screwed cover d. When water is flowing the disc i is raised in the centre and moves the piston contact against the contact k to close the heating circuit. The heating element, Fig. 4, comprises a nickel-chrome wire 2 wound on a mica cylinder 3 and enclosed between mica cylinders 4, the whole being arranged in a metal casing 1.
