356,909. Heating by electricity. BULPITT, W. H. and BULPITT & SONS, Ltd., Swansea Works, Camden Street, Birming- ham. Aug. 18, 1930, No. 24622. [Class 39 (iii).] A device for heating the cooling medium of an internal combustion engine comprises a tubular body 1 containing an insulating former 17 carrying a resistance 15, and end caps 4 secured to the body by a bolt 8 coupled by a chain 13 to a suspension hook. The body 1 is provided with gauze-covered apertures 2. The former 17 is mounted on an insulating disc 21 by means of metallic members 18 which lead the current to the resistance. The periphery of the disc is gripped between an end cap and the tubular body.
