Abstract
346,586. Combined reservoir pens and pencil-holders; point-protectors. RAWLINS, E. C. D., 7, Park Place, St. James' Street, Piccadilly, London. April 29, 1930, No. 13209. [Class 146 (iii).] A reservoir pen, particularly of the collapsablesac self-filling type, is provided at its rear end with a chamber 5, preferably arranged eccentrically and accommodating a pencil 4, the chamber being normally closed by a rotary cap 7 formed with an aperture which can be brought into register with the end of the chamber 5. The pencil is adapted to be projected by means of a button 8 sliding in a slot in the wall of the chamber, and is formed with a shoulder 6<1> adapted to engage the edge of the aperture in the cap to prevent unintentional retraction. The rear end of the pen is also formed with a receptacle for spare leads and a recess containing a spring 14 which holds the cap in place. The rotary movement of the cap is limited by a pin and slot.
