Abstract
346,332. Valve accessories. SCHMIDT, K., 40, Bayreuther Strasse, Dresden, Germany. Nov. 1, 1929, No. 33324. [Class 135.] Casings.-In order to minimize losses of fluid in passing through valves and to reduce their size and weight, the valve casings are formed with aligned inlet and outlet passages x, y merging into a main bend which connects said two passages, the valve seat b being arranged in the middle part a of the main bend where maximum cavitation or contraction of the fluid flow occurs. The valve seat is arranged at right-angles to the direction of flow and the valve spindle c is at right-angles to the seat, as shown.
