Abstract
343,869. Valve amplifying and detecting circuits. TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L. M. ERICSSON, 33, Kungsgatan, Stockholm. July 30, 1930, No. 23021. Convention date, Aug. 3, 1929. Addition to 309,902, [Class 40 (v), Wireless signalling &c.]. [Class 40 (v).] A number of thermionic valves V1, V2 coupled by transformers T are supplied with plate voltage, filament current, and grid bias, from a potentiometer 0 .. 6 connected across a D.C. source as in the parent Specification, and the elimination of hum or ripple is facilitated .by connecting a high resistance R between a high positive voltage point 6 on the potentiometer and the plate of a valve V1, other than the last valve V2. With a resistance R of suitable value in circuit, it is possible to adjust the slider X to a point where hum is eliminated, without giving the grid of valve V1 too heavy a negative bias.
