Abstract
725,238. Valve relay circuits. MOORE ELECTRONIC LABORATORIES, Inc. July 3, 1953, No. 18536/53. Class 40 (6). An automatic error-correction circuit comprises a bridge-connected D.C. amplifier operating a pair of relays having their coils connected in series, each coil being shunted by a unidirectionally-conductive device and the two devices being connected in opposition. Error signals are impressed on the grids of a double valve 40, 50 forming, with anode resistors 48, 58, a balanced D.C. bridge. The cathodes are taken to a common bias resistor 64 via a potentiometer 60 whereby the balance may be adjusted. The anodes of the valve 40, 50 are direct-coupled to a pair of cathode followers 70, 80, the cathode circuits of which are bridged by the relay coils 75, 85 in series. Shunt rectifiers 73, 83 provide that the coils 75, 85 are selectively energized according to the sense in which a potential difference is produced between the cathodes of the valves 70, 80.
