Feeding in definite proportions. - A mixing device for grain, seeds, &c. comprises a number of hoppers e fitted with vaned wheels c mounted on a common shaft a and discharging the grain &c. through apertures in the bottoms of the hoppers into a trough g in which works a shaft h fitted with a worm or paddles k. The feed from each hopper is varied by means of an adjustable cylinder l the inner end of which fits the vanes. Specifications 9260/92; and 12570/92, [Class 59, Grinding, crushing, &c.], are referred to.
