Abstract
337,369. Emmrich, P., (trading as E. V. G. Electro-Vertriebs-Ges. Emmrich & Co.). Nov. 12, 1928, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Fan apparatus; portable. - A hand and face drying device comprises a downwardly-tapering casing 1 through which air is driven by a centrifugal fan 9 in the upper part of the casing. In the lower part is an electric heating element 4 occupying the entire passage. Hot air is driven through a flared mouth 14. The fan is driven by a motor 3 carrying a shaft on which the fan is mounted direct. The fan has curved blades 10 arranged between horizontal plates, the upper having a central opening 11. The apparatus is covered by a hood 6 having a flange 7 allowing an entrance 8 for air, which passes through an apertured plate 5 to the centre of the fan. The device is supported by a universal joint 15 on a wall bracket. Current is supplied by leads 34, 35 which pass through a foot-operated switch 16.
