[Class 39 (iii)] [Also in Group X] In an air-heating unit an electric motor 40, driving a fan 41, is disposed axially at one end of a cylinder 56 having at its outlet end an annular baffle 57 and a circular plate 60, air emerging radially therebetween, passing over coiled resistance elements 62 arranged on insulating bobbins 61 carried on pins extending between the baffle and the plate. This unit may be supported by means of a flanged plate 58 within a cast metal casing comprising 'two parts 34, 35, joined by a band 36, the casing having air inlet and outlet openings 54, 55, respectively. The bottom is closed by a plate 53, and a mushroom plate 63 is spaced from the top by struts 64 or by an annular plate (not shown).
