Abstract

310,937. Inventia Patent-Verwertungs-Ges. May 3, 1928, [Convention date]. Casings; driving- arrangements. - The motor 10, Fig. 2, and transmission gear 11, 12 of a washing- machine are housed within integral casings 20, 19 formed of electrically insulating material for example that known under the Registered Trade Mark " Bakelite." The handles 4, 5 of the casing and hollow cover respectively are formed of heat insulating material. The motor and transmission gear are housed within the hollow cover, and the casings containing these members are supported by insulating legs 37, Fig. 1, resting on an aluminium plate 7 secured to the floor 6 of the cover. The top part 3 of the cover is secured to the end cap 21 of the transmission casing by a nut 38. An electrically insulating coupling 35 is provided between the vertical shafts 36, 33. A fan 25, Fig. 2, is formed on the motor shaft drawing in air through apertures 27, the air being guided by a tube 31.
