364,191. Dynamo-electric machines. SIEMENS - SCHUCKERTWERKE AKT.- GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. Oct. 7, 1930, No. 30030. Convention date, Nov. 11, 1929. [Class 35.] Field-magnets, cooling; cores casings.-In a machine having the stator laminµ held together by a die-cast shell, the shell is completely surrounded by a sheet-metal casing having an axial length greater than that of the shell. In the form shown, the shell 12 is surrounded by the casing 20 and has ducts 16 which communicate with the interior of the machine at one end and are open at the other. Air drawn in by the fan 17 leaves the machine at the driving end, whilst the air drawn in by the fan 18 leaves at the other end, the ducts being so arranged that the air flows in the opposite directions in adjacent ducts 16. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also an arrangement for a totally-enclosed machine wherein a separate casing is not used, and the shell 21, Fig. 3 (Cancelled), has ducts 22 which communicate at both ends with the interior of the machine only. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
