496,467. Cooling dynamo - electric machines. DICK, E. May 26, 1938, No. 15761. Convention date, June 5, 1937. [Class 35] [Also in Group XIII] The air in an electrical machine is circulated through external tubes 7 the ends of which are secured to the inspection covers 3 hinged &c. to the casing of the machine. The air may be circulated by a fan 16, Fig. 3, and is directed in part over the windings 12 and in part by an annular baffle 13, through passages 9 in the armature and thence over the commutator 10.
