232,657. Jacoby, H. C. E., and Enclosed Motor Co., Ltd. Dec. 27, 1923. Casings; dynamos and motors, cooling.-In dynamo-electric machines of the enclosed type provided with tubes 6 through which the internal air of the machine is circulated bv a fan 8 and over which cold external air is passed by a fan 9, the ends of the magnet ring 2 are reduced as shown and to them is attached a channel 5 into which the tubes 6 open, passages 7 through the channel 5 being provided for the cooling-air. The commutator &c. are enclosed in an end shield 16 provided with a flat jointing-rim 17 for a door 18, the shield being attached to one of the channels 5 by a flange 15.
