Abstract

634,785 Unit apparatus for heating and humidifying air. SIFRAG SPEZIALAPPARATEBAU & INGENIEURBUREAU FREI AKT.- GES., and FREI, H. Oct. 31, 1946, No. 32381. [Class 137] [Also in Group XII] Air humidifying apparatus comprises a housing 8 with an air inlet 9 and an air outlet 12 and an electric motor 4 which carries fan blades 2, a disc 1 provided with a V-shaped outer edge and a conical tube 5 which dips into a body of water contained in the well of the housing, water being drawn up the tube 5 and fed to the disc 1 through holes 5b and channels 5a. In a modification, Fig. 3, a fan 31 draws air downwardly over an electric heating element 32 and delivers heated air through an outlet 34 arranged above the outlet 25 from the humidifying device disposed in the lower half of the housing, thereby inducing a flow of air through the humidifying device which is similar in construction to the one described above.
