Abstract

1,070,994. Air humidifiers. SUNBEAM CORPORATION. March 30, 1965 [July 6, 1964], No. 13493/65. Heading B1R. In an air humidifier of the type wherein a rotary pump draws water from the base of the humidifier and sprays it into a stream of air passing therethrough, the electric motor 44 for driving the pump and a fan is resiliently mounted in an inlet air chamber 28 and air drawn in by the fan is passed through a cylindrical member 35 made of porous material and wetted by spray from the pump and by immersion at its lower end in the water in the base of the humidifier. The member 35 is preferably made of a foamed material and water is sprayed from the upper portion of the pump through holes covered by a depending flange 71. Humidified air leaves through a grill 19.
