Abstract

689,780. Air humidifiers. HOLDERNESS, J. H., and ROTHMANS, Ltd. Sept. 29, 1950 [Sept. 29, 1949], No. 24991/49. Class 55 (ii). An air humidifier comprises a converging air inlet 1 leading to a casing 2 within which is arranged a spinner 4 having a rim 7 with perforations 10, and a fan or like means located on the air inlet side of the spinner for forcing a stream of air through the casing 2, water being supplied to the dished interior spinner by a pipe 8 and forced through the perforations 10 into the air stream. The spinner is driven by a motor 5 and fan blades 3 may be mounted in the periphery of the spinner. The water to the spinner is supplied from a tank 13 through a valve 14 under control of a humidistat. In a modification the water is fed to the back of the spinner and passes through holes therein into the dished interior.
