Abstract

356,720. Moistening air. ADAMS, A. J., Abbotsbury, Westbury Leigh, Westbury, Wiltshire. April 5, 1930, No. 10901. [Class 55 (ii).] A sprayer, 32, Fig. 1, is mounted near the centre of a centrifugal fan 3 rotating in a housing 40 having blades or vanes 41 for reducing the swirl of the air. Around the nozzle are a series of rings 44 forming louvres mounted in brackets 42. Air and liquid are supplied to the atomizer from a tank 10 to which liquid is supplied at a constant level through a float regulator valve 35 and on which is mounted a motor 2 driving a compressor, through gearing 6. Compressed air is delivered to the tank 10 through a pipe 9, and compressed air and liquid pass to the atomizer through pipe 31, 33.
