335,301. Chubb, W. F. Aug. 2, 1929. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Handles ; stops; adjustable.-In gas-fired furnaces, the gas and air supply valves and/or the furnace dampers are actuated bv a lever 2 pivoted at 4 to the valve or damper 1 so that its free end may be swung from one side to the other, the lever, on one side, lying between a pair of stops 7, 8 which limit its degree of rotation, and, on the other side, being free to move between points X, 6 corresponding to the fully open and fully closed positions respectively of the valve or damper. 'The stops 7, 8 are adjustably mounted in a curved slot 9, while an additional fine adjustment is afforded by the provision, in one or both of the stops, of a set-screw 11. The invention is described in connection with a gas-cock 1 of the conical plug type; when the invention is applied to a damper, the plug 1 is replaced by the damper spindle.
