330,871. Miller, W. S. Nov. 26, 1929. Stays.- A stay is mounted on a friction pivot at the door post and has a pin-and-slot connection with a bracket on the door. There may 'be a frictional grip at the pin-and-slot connection. The friction pivot comprises a coned socket 4, a conical bearing boss 7 on the stay bar 8, a central pin 12 and a spring 9. The pin 15 of the pin-and-slot connection may carry a friction washer pressed on to the stay bar by a spring 16.
