Abstract

347,255. Universal attachments for stay-bars. TONKS, W. H. and SPARKS, W., 201, Moseley Street, Birmingham. Jan. 22, 1930, No. 2177. [Classes 65 (i) and 65 (ii).] The fixing bracket d of a lift-off stay h carries a pin b on which is mounted a ball a which fits closely in a hole in the end of the stay. The stay is free to turn in all directions about the ball as pivot, without any lash at the pivot. In a modification, the pin b may be replaced by trunnions integral with the ball a.
