353,134. Bolt fastenings. ALLART, G., 54, William Edward Street, Birmingham. May 14, 1930, No. 14760. [Class 44.] In a door bolt operated by a lever c normally lying flush with the front face of the plate a and connected with the tail of the bolt b bv a link d, a spring is provided which acts on the link and serves to retain the bolt in its shot and withdrawn positions. Fig. 2 shows an encased coiled spring e carried by the bolt and bearing against a shoulder on lever d. A modification is described in which a plate spring is used. In a further modification, Fig. 8, the link is itself in the form of a shaped plate-spring k fixed at one end to the bolt and pivoted at the other end to lever c. In all forms an antifriction guide roller h may be provided for the bolt.
