205,848. Williams, Gamon, & Co. (Kaleyards), Ltd., and Gamon, G. P. June 23, 1922. Stays of the kind in which a pivoted bar A is guided in a swivelling hood member E have the spaced holes a<2> on the underside of the bar connected by a longitudinal groove a<1> which guides the pins F into engagement with the holes when the casement window is moved. In the preferred form, the holes a<2> extend only partly through the bar. The pin F serves as the pivot for mounting the hood E upon the supporting bracket e<1>. The bar A has a universe joint connection with the window at a<5>, b<1>, and its free end is provided with a knob to prevent withdrawal of the bar through the member E. A spring G may be provided to press the bar down on the pin F.
