Abstract

371,206. Window stays. NEUH€USER, O., 19M, Gunnersdorf, Saxony, Germany. June 15, 1931, No. 17332. [Class 65 (i).] A stay for hinged windows of the type comprising a stay arm a pivoted to the fixed frame and over which moves a slide f engaged by a pivot pin i fixed to the window has the stay arm a formed with a bent end for insertion in an apertured lug b in which it is normally retained for pivotal movement by a projection d. The lug b is formed by bending up a flap on a plate c secured to the fixed frame and the aperture is notched to permit the entry of the retaining projection when the bent end of the stay is inserted on fitting up the device. The slide f may be clamped by a spring bolt or by a square-headed screw k which is actuated by a removable key.
