Abstract

Disc or like plate hinges; pivoting - adjustments.-Windows are pivoted in a frame by means of a socketed attachment a screwed to and countersunk in the sash, and a pivot having a tongue &c. h and a flange g carried by a plate f screwed to the frame. The pivot pin is secured in the plate f by a castle nut k, washer m, and spring L, and has a fibrous washer o bearing on the plate f. The pivot is secured in the socket a by a pin d. When pivoted at a point intermediate to the ends, the socket is countersunk in and screwed to the face, of the sash.
