268,581. Thompson, H. A., and Nettlefold & Sons, Ltd. May 29, 1926. Rising hinges for casement windows comprise attachment plates 20 with bracket arms 5, 6 respectively that have socket members 5<1>, 6<1> each closed at one end and internally threaded for engagement with a screwed pin 7. A lip 19 may also be provided to shelter the middle part of the pivot from the weather. As the window is opened it rises on the hinge pins and rubbing of the bracket arms is avoided.
