Abstract

345,929. Struts for hinged articles. MEO, D. F., Tyttenhanger Lodge, near St. Albans, Hertfordshire. Sept. 23, 1929, No. 28768. [Class 65 (i).] A folding strut for a gramophone lid is spring actuated so that its joint 4 is retained on one side of a dead centre line AA when the lid is closed and on the opposite side when open. In the construction shown in Fig. 3 a pivoted arm 9 makes pin and slot engagement with the lower strut arm and the movement of the arm is limited either by the length of the slot or by a stop 15. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 128,424, [Class 65 (i), Door and gate operating-appliances &c.].
