Abstract
287,751. Cozens, G. A., and Samuel & Sons, Ltd., B. June 14, 1927. Disc and like plate hinges. - The lid 13 of a case 1, particularly a gramophone case, has plate hinges 21 so that when the lid is opened it can be swung over the end of the case into an upright position, and in combination a which may be flap 20 for closing any opening which may be left in the end of the case when the lid is closed, the flap being hinged to the end of the case and caused to move the lid. As shown, the plates 21 secured to the lid 13 and are connected by hinge pins 25 to the sides of the case 1, the flap 20 being hinged at 26 and provided with pins 22 which slidably engage with slots 23 in the hinge plates. The slots may be formed in the lid. The plates 21 may be pivotally attached to the lid and the flap hinged to the lid. A spring may be provided to return the flap.
