Drawer - and - shell cases; contents, facilitating access to.-A case for cigarettes &c. comprises a shell a<1> normally closed at its uppet end by a lid c and closed at the bottom a3 except for a finger opening a<6>, a drawer b<1> open at its upper end and closed at its bottom, a hinged connection d between one edge of the lid c and the top of the casing, a flexible strap or strip d<2> connecting the other edge of the lid with the top of the drawer and elastic means e normally keeping the drawer within the shell with the lid shut. Access to the cigarettes &c. is obtained by inserting a finger in the opening a<6> and pushing the drawer out of the shell and opening the lid against the action of the elastic means e. As shown, the shell is made of two thicknesses of fibre board and the ends of the parts d<2>, e<2> may be secured between the two thicknesses of board; the sides of the drawer may be open or closed.
