Securing flaps in a given relative position. -A hinge for the lids of cabinets comprises a strut member 8 in the form of a wire ring or frame which is hinged at 9 to one leaf 4 of the hinge and is adapted to slide in a guide 12 in the other leaf, the guide being notched at 13 at its side edges for engagement with the side portions of the wire 8 when the lid is moved into the open position.
