Abstract

376,976. Castors; furniture adjustments. KEMME, J. A., 540, Somerville Avenue, Philadelphia, U.S.A. Aug. 7, 1931, No. 22389. Convention date, Aug. 16, 1930. [Class 52 (i).] In a castor of the kind having a vertical adjustment between the shank and its socket, the thrust is taken by a nut 12 threaded on the shank 10 and surrounded by a yoke 15 rotatably attached to the socket or guide tube 30. The upper face of the nut is preferably recessed to receive a spring washer and the sides of the shank are flattened and pass through similarly shaped holes in the yoke to prevent relative rotation.
