Abstract

Kinematograph apparatus. - In a claw - feed mechanism, the movements of the claw into and out of the film perforations are controlled by a cam, the feed movement is effected by a spring, and the return movement by toothed gearing. As shown, the claw a is mounted on a lever b which is formed with a slot d engaging a pin c, and has a tail e engaging a multiple cam f. The cam f is secured to a shaft carrying a partly-toothed wheel h. engaging a, pinion i connected by a crank pin j, links k, p, and pin s, to an extension q of the lever b, the links k, p being connected by a pin n to a short link l having a fixed pivot m, and the pin s being guided in a slot t. The velocity ratio between the wheel h and pinion i, is equal to the number of lobes on the cam f, and springs r, u constrain the movements of the lever b, the spring u effecting the downward feed movements during the times when the teeth of the pinion i are free from the teeth of the wheel h.
