218,167. H³bner, T., and Scholz, E. Oct. 6, 1923. Fuel, feeding.-Comprises a driving mechanism for automatic coalfeeding apparatus of the spring-actuated radialshovel type. A shovelshaft t carries an adjustable lever s actuated against a spring by cams r adjustable in slots p on the spokes of a ratchet wheel m carried on a shaft k. Loosely mounted on the latter shaft is a lever with three arms of which one i<1> is actuated by a pin g on a crank f mounted on a driven shaft d to give motion to a pawl o, carried by an overweighted second arm i<2> and engaging the ratchet wheal. The feed is varied by a lever u, held in adjusted position by a spring knob v engaging fixed notches x, freely mounted on the shaft k and arranged to engage the third arm i<3> of the lever to move the arm i<1> relatively to the crank pin g. The ratchet wheel is held by a second pawl o'.
