Abstract
221,426. Vinten, W. C. Feb. 15, 1924. Kinematograph apparatus.-Intermittent feed claws are operated by two cranks rotated simultaneously at the same speed and synchronously with the shutter, and so disposed relatively to each other that the period of rest of the film is greater than its period of movement. The mechanism is mounted on a plate b carrying a curved guide c for the film a, the bar n carrying the pins d being carried by a frame o operated by the cranks f, g which are driven by pinions j, k both gearing with a pinion m forming part of the driving mechanism for the shutter &c. The crank g carries a slide block p mounted in the frame o so that the frame is oscillated by this crank and is reciprocated by the crank f. The cranks are so disposed that they are close together during the feeding stroke. Detent pins q adapted to engage the film when it is stationary are mounted on a bar r actuated bv a link s connected to the block p, A balance weight t may be mounted on either of the cranks.
