Abstract
374,881. Kinematograph apparatus. COLLINGS, C. E. HILLERY-, 9N, Camberwell Green Estate, London. March. 16, 1931, Nos. 8015 and 3018. [Class 97 (i). In a kinematograph camera or projector one of two rocking flames gives to the claw arm pivoted thereto the longitudinal component of its movement while the other, which has a pin-andslot connection with the claw arm, gives the transverse component of its movement to the claw arm. As shown, the shaft 14 carries a flywheel 13 driven from an electric motor. The shaft 17 with a crown-wheel 20 engaging the pinion 21 on the shaft 14 permits of hand drive. The cranked end 30 of the shaft 14 engages in the rocking stirrup 28 to effect horizontal reciprocation of the claws 33 by the engagement of the pin 36 in the slot 35. The claws 33 are vertically reciprocated by the connection of the arm 31 to the rocker 22 operated by the cam 25 on the gear 16. The arm 44 of the stirrup 28 reciprocates the sliding shutter 41, which has obturating and flicker blades 37, 38, Fig. 1 (not shown). According to the second Provisional Specification cams may be employed instead of cranks.
