Abstract

245,419. Manet, W., Claude, R., and Claude, A. Dec. 30, 1924, [Convention date]. Variable-speed ratchet gearing comprises a driving eccentric B and means comprising a spring by which a shaft G is driven at a speed automatically variable with the load. The eccentric strap C is connected at one point E by the spring H to a fixed point I and at an opposite point D is connected by a link J to an arm O carrying a pawl N driving a ratchet wheel F fast on the shaft G. This variable transmission device is preferably used threefold in different phase. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) a crank may replace the eccentric. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
