Abstract

326,307. Wright, S. A. Feb. 12, 1929. Moulds.-A hand mould for bricks and tiles consists of an open cast metal frame 1, preferably of aluminium and with a handle 2, the said frame having its inner faces splayed in a downward direction to facilitate the removal of the mould. In order to limit the movement of the scraper suitable stops 6 are provided on the upper edge of the frame and in the case of tile moulding, upstanding portions 7 may be arranged at one end for use in forming the lugs by which the tile is hung. The upper edges of the frame and stops are provided with strips 5 of hard wearing material. The frame may be employed for special tiles such as " valley " and " hip " tiles.
