Abstract

468,641. Moulds for clay. JAMES, J. Jan. 17, 1936, No. 1501. [Class 87 (ii)] A plaster mould for use in casting clay slip has its edges reinforced by sheet or strip material having its inner edge of bevelled form and provided with means for anchoring it to the mould part. The mould comprises two parts 1, 3 having stepped edges reinforced by metal strips 5, 7, which may be of extruded metal. The inner edges 6 of the strips are knife edges which together form a wedge section. The strips 5, 7 are anchored to the mould parts by members 9 which may be integral with or secured to the strips and which may have split ends 11.
