Abstract
374,596. Moulds for concrete blocks. PEACE, H., 102, Carrington Grove, Batley, Yorkshire. May 11, 1931, No. 13948. [Class 87 (ii).] In a mould for making concrete blocks for paving, kerbstones, &c., of the type in which a sheet-metal member of U-shaped section is attached by screws to lugs on rigid end-pieces which are provided with grooves to receive the ends of the U-shaped member, the lugs 19, 21 at the lower side project laterally to form a wide support for the mould while the upper lugs 16 are undercut at 18 to enable the mould to be readily lifted. The top edge of the U- shaped member 13 is preferably bent over to provide rigidity and the ends engage grooves 12 in the endplates 11, said grooves being tapered towards the bottom thereof and containing packing 23 to render the mould watertight.
