Abstract

248,234. Seccombe, C. P. June 8, 1925. Faced bricks. - A burnt brick formed from clay by hand moulding or machine pressing is constructed with grooves A all round its sides as shown so that it can be fractured before or after firing to produce a rough surface with smooth margins. The rough surfaces are exposed in the wall of the building for decorative effect. Fig. 2 shows three bricks formed at one casting.
